Calm the Chaos: Tools for Regulation

Funded by Don’t Miss Margate Community Fund

This is the second of two Calm the Chaos sessions, offering simple, practical tools to help you understand stress, overwhelm and emotional regulation through the lens of the nervous system.

Originally developed with parents and caregivers in mind, this session is now open to all adults who would benefit from practical nervous system education and everyday tools for regulation.

This is not therapy. It is gentle, trauma-aware education designed to help you feel more informed, supported and resourced in everyday life — and, for those caring for others, better able to support connection and co-regulation too.

From someone who’s been there...

As a teen, I struggled with anxiety, depression, bullying and grief. I didn’t have the tools, support or language to explain what I was feeling — and most of the time, I just tried to push through.

That’s why I created Calm the Chaos — not just as a wellbeing practitioner, but as someone who knows how valuable it can be to understand what’s happening beneath the stress, and have practical tools to meet it.

Tools for Regulation

Date: Wednesday 23rd September
Time: 10-11:30 AM
Location: Margate Caves

Learn simple grounding, breathing and body-based tools to support emotional regulation in everyday life.

We’ll explore practical ways to work with stress and overwhelm, reconnect with the body and strengthen your capacity to regulate — whether that’s for yourself or alongside the children, young people and other people in your life.

Who it’s for

Any adult who wants to better understand their nervous system and feel more equipped to navigate stress and overwhelm with practical, accessible tools.

The session may be particularly useful for parents, carers and caregivers, but you don’t need to be caring for someone else to benefit. Your own wellbeing is reason enough to come.

No experience needed. Come as you are.
