How We Work, Who We Work With, and What You Can Expect from Big Love Movement.

Our approach.

We believe that trust is earned. That’s why we’re committed to transparency, integrity, and inclusion in everything we do—from how we design our workshops to who we partner with and what we teach.

This page outlines the foundations of how we operate and the standards we hold ourselves to.

Our Approach Is...

🧠 Human – Rooted in lived experience, compassion, and community care

📚 Evidence-Informed – Blending science, somatic practices, and real-world tools

🌀 Inclusive – Open to all identities, backgrounds, and experiences

🌱 Evolving – We’re honest about where we are and where we’re still growing

What we offer (and what we don’t).

We offer:

  • Wellbeing education, not therapy

  • Free and paid workshops, events, and resources

  • Community-based spaces for shared learning and connection

  • Practical tools for emotional regulation, self-awareness, and resilience

We do not offer:

  • Mental health crisis support

  • Clinical therapy or diagnoses

  • Deep trauma processing or one-on-one coaching (unless led by qualified professionals)

If you’re in crisis or need 1:1 mental health support, we encourage you to reach out to a licensed mental health professional or crisis helpline. [External link to UK mental health resources]

What “Trauma-Aware” Means to Us.

We do not call ourselves a trauma-informed organisation yet. Our founder is currently completing further training in trauma-responsive and somatic practices and we collaborate with professionals already qualified in this area.

Our work is guided by key trauma-aware principles:

  • Safety and consent

  • Transparency and clear boundaries

  • Empowerment and voice

  • Emotional pacing and nervous system literacy

We strive to create content that respects people’s unique journeys—and avoids overwhelm, assumption, or pathologising language.

Our founder’s commitment.

Big Love Movement was created from lived experience. Our founder is transparent about their own mental health journey and is actively training in relevant fields to ensure the platform continues to grow ethically.

This includes:

  • Over 600+ hours of training in trauma-aware yoga, somatics, and wellbeing practices.

  • Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) training.

  • Ongoing CPD in trauma-responsive practice and nervous system education.

Our community guidelines.

For our WhatsApp group, events, and online spaces, we ask that everyone:

  • Respects others' experiences and boundaries

  • Avoids offering unsolicited advice

  • Keeps confidentiality

  • Practices consent in sharing and participation
