Welcome to our online Book Club
Read. Rant. Repeat.
Join us for a cosy online book club, where you can connect from the comfort of your own space with fellow readers. Each month we’ll dive into a new book, swap favourite quotes, and open space for honest conversation — whether that’s reflecting, ranting, or simply enjoying the story together.
The heart of our club lives in WhatsApp — that’s where we vote on books, share thoughts between sessions, and keep the community alive. Think of it as our little online reading nook, always open and waiting for you.
Here is our Octobers shortlist:
📘 Elsewhere Elsewhere Elsewhere by Gabrielle Zevin (literary / emotional realism) ~ 288 pages
A story about coming to terms with loss and handling the threads that tie people to each other — how we hold onto memories, how grief reshapes relationships, and ultimately how to move forward.
📗 The Emperor of Gladness by Ocean Vuong (poetic / lyrical) ~ 416 pages
Follows a 19-year-old on the brink, who becomes caretaker to an older woman with dementia. Very tender, heavy, emotional. Great if you like feeling books deeply and discussing internal change and love under pressure.
📕 Bonding by Mariel Franklin (contemporary / social critique) ~ 352 pages
This one digs into modern mental health: therapy, technology, identity, loneliness, how we try to heal. Sharp, relevant, and thought-provoking about the world we live in now.
